Ancient atomic rubble

There were thought to be nuclear wars in the very ancient world, between 2000-3000BC and before. There is evidence of this in the Bible, and the ancient Indian texts of the Mahabharata and the Vedas tell very clearly of a nuclear holocaust. Or do they tell us about meteorite impacts?
